Forgiveness That Erases Timelines
(Continued from the previous article: "When Someone Attacks Your Innocence" – Part 2)

It is seven in the morning.
At Barcelona airport, a lively commotion unfolds around me: the rumble of suitcases, figures bustling as if in an endless play.
I am sitting in the middle of this constant movement, and yet something in me remains still.
And at the same time…
I notice my heart has been racing since yesterday.
A warmth in my chest.
A smile that won't leave me.
That strange feeling that I could burst out laughing at any moment, for no reason.
A vivid, immediate, almost childlike joy, a joy I hadn't felt in a very long time.
This is what remains when fear dissolves.
This is what appears when a real forgiveness takes place: not a moral forgiveness, not a façade of "spiritual forgiveness", but a change of perception so complete that it frees every timeline in which guilt was still doing its work.
1. A forgiveness "before" the seminar
A few days before Gary's seminar, a great forgiveness took place, one I had sensed coming and which, I now know, is only one in a long series.
The body had understood before the mind.
A few days earlier, I had had this feeling… I could suddenly breathe.
And when I walked into the seminar, it was as if something in me was already ready for what I was about to hear.
Warning: spoiler (about Pursah's story).
In Gary Renard's trilogy, Pursah tells how she (Gary in his next life) became a university teacher.
And how one day, one of her students falsely accused her of sexual abuse.
That single accusation destroyed her reputation, her career, her entire social life.
A brutal, undeserved, humiliating fall.
What is fascinating is the way this story mirrors Gary's own life.
Because he too, in this life, has had to face personal attacks, deliberate attempts to destroy his reputation, by another teacher of the Course.
And this is where the parallel becomes striking.
Pursah told him:
"You have just done yourself an immense favor.
This forgiveness erases that timeline.
You won't have to live through it when you are me."
In other words:
when you truly forgive, you free every version of yourself that still believed it was guilty.
Forgiveness is not sentimental.
It has nothing to do with emotion, or with "loving" the person.
It doesn't come through sweetness or niceness.
True forgiveness is metaphysical.
It acts on the very structure of the dream.
It withdraws the original belief.
It erases the initial decision to separate from God.
It dissolves the secret dream, the one in which we accused ourselves of having destroyed Oneness, and in which we condemn ourselves, again and again, through the world, bodies and relationships.
In this world, every attack is only a reflection of that original guilt.
Every accusation, every injustice, every judgment is only the holographic extension of the first mistake:
the belief in being separate.
And that is what forgiveness erases.
Not the event.
Not the scene.
Not the story.
Forgiveness erases the timeline in which you believe you are guilty.
What really needs to be understood, and what moved through me so strongly that tears came without warning, is this:
if certain scenarios seem to repeat themselves, each time more intense, louder, more painful, it is not because life is hounding you… but because nothing has yet been forgiven.
The mind never leaves a belief in the shadows.
What has not been forgiven does not disappear: it comes back, in other forms, with other faces, but always with the same root.
As long as guilt is not released, the dream keeps projecting it, again and again.
And sometimes it will do so with greater intensity (breakup, loss, attack, illness, collapse) until we finally agree to look within rather than blame the outside.
That is why forgiving now frees us from future consequences that would have been much heavier to bear.
Forgiveness doesn't only soften the past: it deactivates the timelines in which suffering would have continued its course.
And of course, I can't help thinking of certain brothers I see replaying, almost identically, the same loops of drama. Not because they are weak, but because the mind is trying, once again, to show them the belief that is asking to be seen.
I wish with all my heart that they accept forgiveness, so they can finally step out of these cycles, which happen nowhere else… but in the mind.
2. The holographic universe: everything begins and ends at once
What is extraordinary, in the teaching of the Course as in modern quantum physics, is that both point to the same truth:
time does not exist the way we imagine.
All scenarios unfolded at the same time.
Everything began and everything ended in the instant the idea of separation seemed to arise.
What we take for evolution, progress, successive events… is only the projection of a film that has already ended.
In a holographic universe, each part contains the whole.
Each instant contains the entire dream.
The "past" and the "future" are perceptual artifacts, two sides of the same illusion.
So when Gary forgives, he isn't forgiving "a past event".
He is withdrawing a living, active belief that keeps feeding other timelines.
When he withdraws the idea of attack,
when he restores innocence to its rightful place,
he frees every occurrence of the same pattern, including those apparently lived by himself in other incarnations, among them Pursah's.
3. Why would you want to keep the other guilty?
This is a question I heard inwardly this weekend:
Why are you so attached to the other being guilty?
Because if the other is guilty…
you remain separate.
You remain "innocent" in appearance, but it is a manufactured, fragile innocence that depends on keeping the accusation alive.
You need the other to stay at fault so you can avoid looking at the secret dream you carry.
Keeping guilt "in the other" condemns you to keep it in yourself.
You can picture it as two people holding the same chain.
You pull, the other pulls.
The bond exists as long as you take part.
But if you let go of the chain,
even if the other keeps pulling,
for you the chain no longer exists.
It is no longer in your story.
It no longer determines your perception.
It no longer shapes your identity.
That is what freedom means according to the Course.
4. Resistance to the Course: all the ego's strategies
Resistance to the Course is not "spiritual".
It isn't theoretical.
It is structural: it belongs to the ego's thought system.
And it takes many forms:
• Personal history
The character loves its story:
its wounds, its dramas, its successes.
An identity shaped by suffering and specialness.
• Spiritual specialness
The temptation to believe you are "special",
that you have unique gifts,
a higher mission,
a distinct place in the dream.
• Embraced separation
A sentence I heard recently:
"Now I see the difference between me and the other."
The exact opposite of the Course.
• Spiritual idols
In the shamanic world I moved in:
ancestors, rituals, protections, visions, "special abilities".
So many subtle forms of idolatry that reinforce… separation.
• Entities and "voices"
Many believe they are guided by outside presences.
But from a non-dual perspective:
any voice that speaks of fear, the future, the past or sacrifice is simply the ego changing masks.
• The call to community
Gary reminded us:
the Course is self-study.
You weave your own relationship with the Spirit.
Any community that proposes "living together around the Course" slips into the projection of idols.
All these forms of resistance have a single goal:
to avoid going back to the secret dream.
5. What I recognize in Gary: a brother
Watching Gary this weekend, it wasn't the author, the "master" or the speaker I saw.
It was a brother.
A brother who has walked a demanding, coherent, radical path.
And who, despite the seriousness of what he teaches, keeps a sense of humor that brings down every defense.
That humor is no small thing.
It is the sign of someone who no longer takes the dream seriously.
Who knows none of this is real,
but who plays his role with honesty, precision and kindness.
6. Forgiveness as the liberation of all timelines
We are talking here about a forgiveness that works deeply, on the base program.
This forgiveness:
withdraws the original idea of separation,
dissolves the belief that you must defend an identity,
erases the timelines in which you still carried that guilt.
It is not a sentimental forgiveness.
It is not a moral forgiveness.
It is not a forgiveness "out of human compassion".
It is a metaphysical act.
It is the decision to be done with the cause, not the effect.
When you forgive, you return to the moment when the thought of separation seemed to occur.
And you withdraw it.
You look straight at the error and say:
"I no longer want to believe this."
Then something is erased.
Not in the world,
but in the mind.
And this change in the mind alters every version of the story.
7. I'm free because I forgive
When you forgive, you cut the chain you are still holding.
The other may keep pulling,
shouting,
clinging to their version.
It no longer has any power over you.
You move forward.
You become free.
And you leave the other to their own moment of awakening, which no longer depends on you.
That is real freedom:
the inner liberation from all the timelines that kept you in fear.
8. My work, the medicines, and refusing to compromise
I work with medicines such as ayahuasca, and I have seen their miracles.
But today I say it clearly:
I will no longer compromise with the truth.
Ayahuasca can open a door,
it can show what is possible,
but it is not the path
and it is not necessary.
The only essential training is the training of the mind.
And that is exactly what the Course offers:
correcting perception at every moment,
until the entire dream is reframed.
I will never again put a ritual, a vision, an ancestor or a power before what I saw this weekend:
forgiveness truly sets us free.
9. Thank you, Gary
I want to end by thanking Gary.
For his books,
for the courage to publish such radical messages,
for his consistency in teaching,
and for the light he has left for everyone going through years like the one I have just lived.
I wouldn't have made it without your pages.
Without the precision of your words.
Without the coherence of your teaching.
You reminded me of the path when I was ready to lose myself.
10. And now: the forgiveness list
I'm going to finish this article just in time.
And on the plane, I'm going to write the list of everyone I still have to forgive.
Since my birth.
From every relationship.
Every breakup.
Every injustice.
Every accusation.
Every abandonment. Every betrayal
Every unease, however small
Because if I want to be free,
then I must free my brothers and sisters from all the roles I have given them in my dream.
And if timelines can be erased,
then I am ready.
Ready to begin again.
Ready to truly forgive.
Ready to go home.
Ready to accept the gifts of love, the gifts of God.
Love You Gary ❤️
