Understanding ayahuasca

What is ayahuasca?
A traditional brew from the Amazon, most often prepared from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the leaves of Psychotria viridis, used for generations by Indigenous peoples in a ceremonial setting. Neither a recreational drug nor a miracle cure: an intense experience that calls for a safe setting and serious preparation.
What participants experience
Many describe a new way of seeing their fears and patterns, an emotional release, a sense of unity and peace, a movement toward forgiveness, of themselves and others. These experiences are personal and do not replace medical care: what matters most often happens afterwards, in integration into daily life.
A changing view around the world
In Brazil, its religious use has been recognized since the 1980s; in the United States, the Supreme Court recognized in 2006 a church's right to use it. Universities are now studying its effects, notably on depression and addiction: this research is still young. In Europe, the legal framework varies from country to country: check before you go.
Our commitments
Small groups of 10 to 15 people
Several experienced facilitators, present throughout the retreat
A one-to-one call and a medical questionnaire before any registration
Support after the retreat, for integration
A non-dual approach inspired by A Course in Miracles
Retreats held in French
Why language matters
In moments of great openness, every word counts. Fully understanding the guidance, being able to say what you feel and being heard in your own language changes the experience profoundly.
Our retreats are held in French, with 10 to 15 participants at most and at least three facilitators present throughout. The team also speaks English and Spanish, and translation is available.

What we hope for the future
We hope ayahuasca will be better and better understood: studied rigorously, offered in safe settings, and respected as the heritage of the peoples who passed it on. A powerful experience is not enough: what transforms a life is how you integrate it afterwards, day after day.

Our retreats in Europe
We hold several retreats a year in Europe, in places surrounded by nature. The next one takes place in the mountains of Malaga, Spain, from 11 to 15 November 2026.
Prices are shared after a first call, so we can take time to get to know each other and check together that the retreat is right for you.

Frequently asked questions
Is ayahuasca legal in Europe?
It depends on the country: the legal framework differs between states and is changing. Check the laws of the retreat's country and of your country of residence.
Is ayahuasca right for everyone?
No. Some medications, including certain antidepressants, and some health conditions are incompatible. That is why we always hold a call and a medical questionnaire before any registration.
What language are your retreats held in?
In French. The team also speaks English and Spanish, and translation is available.
